Chocolate Date Bark

Indulge in this naturally sweet and wholesome Chocolate Date Bark, combining rich dark chocolate with chewy dates for a healthy, no-bake treat perfect any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1 cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped dates, walnuts, shredded coconut, and sea salt evenly over the melted chocolate while still warm.
  5. Press the toppings gently into the chocolate with a spatula.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate is completely set.
  7. Break the bark into irregular pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute walnuts with pumpkin seeds or omit them entirely. Serve chilled for the best texture.
