Homemade Cottage Cheese Cloud Bread on White Plate

Light and airy Cottage Cheese Cloud Bread offers a fluffy, protein-packed alternative to traditional bread, perfect for sandwiches or as a low-carb snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the egg yolks, cottage cheese, salt, and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture, being careful not to deflate the batter.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping them into rounds.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the breads are golden and set.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add herbs like chives or rosemary to the batter before baking.
