This creamy garlic Parmesan chicken pasta combines tender chicken, rich Parmesan cheese, and a flavorful garlic sauce for an easy and comforting Italian-inspired meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken breasts, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, then toss in the cooked pasta. Mix until everything is evenly coated with the sauce.
  7. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or add sautéed mushrooms to the sauce. Serve with a side of garlic bread for a complete meal.
