These Spinach and Feta Puff Pastry Twists are a deliciously flaky appetizer combining savory spinach and tangy feta cheese, perfect for parties or a light snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, combine cooked spinach, feta cheese, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  6. Place a spoonful of the spinach and feta mixture along one edge of each strip.
  7. Fold the strip over the filling and twist several times to form a spiral.
  8. Place twists on the prepared baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top before baking for added flavor and crunch.
